Exhibition of Orthodox icons at the Gregorian University

In the premises of the Gregorian Pontifical University, on December 2, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia to the Holy See organized the ceremonial opening of the exhibition of Orthodox icons "The Human Face of God".

The speakers at the event were the director of the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Organizations of the Republic of Serbia V. Roganović, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Holy See S. Avramović, the icon painter Dejan Milosavljević and, via video link, Director of the Department of Church History at the Gregorian University R. Regoli. The event was also attended by the President of the Pontifical ("diplomatic") Academy S. Penacchio, the president of the Friendship Group with the Vatican in the National Assembly of Serbia J. Palalić, Vice-dean of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Belgrade V. Tatalović, as well as the distinguished representatives of the diplomatic corps, academic, scientific and artistic community. The exhibition was officially closed on December 5th, with a ceremony and a speech of H. E. Cardinal Kurt Koch, Prefect of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity.
