Promotion of the book “Le Relazioni politico-ecclesiastiche tra la Santa Sede e la Serbia dal 1878 al 1918“ by Milosav Đoković, Research Associate of the Institute for Balkan Studies to the Serbian Acadamy of Sciences and Arts, was held on December 14, 2023 at the oldest pontificial university Gregoriana. The book derived out of the PhD thesis by M. Đoković with the same title defended at the Pontificial Oriental Institute in Rome. The book was published this year by the Pontifical University Gregoriana within the edition „Miscellanea Historiae Pontificiae“. The event was opened by President of the Pontificial Commettee of Historical Sciences, Prof. Marek Inglot, and ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Holy See, Prof. Sima Avramović. The results of the book as well as relationships between the Holy See and the Republic of Serbia by the end of 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries were analyzed by several prestigious Italian and Serbian scholars, as well as by the author himself. The event was also attended by Mirjana Jeremić, recently appointed ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Italy.
