The Vatican Official gazette Bulletino pronounced on September 12, 2022 that the Holy Father has appointed Archbishop Santo Rocco Gangemi as the new Apostolic Nuncio in the Republic of Serbia.

A few days before, on September 7 to 10, the Vatican hosted the triennial meeting of Pontifical Representatives. In the evening of the first day a reception was organized in the Vatican Gardens for Vatican authorities, apostolic nuncios, and ambassadors accredited to the Holy See.

Amb. Avramovic took the opportunity to get in touch with the new Apostolic Nuncio in the Republic of Serbia Mons. Santo Gangemi, previously the representative of Vatican in El Salvador. Thanks to H.E. Manuel Lopes, Ambassador of El Salvador to the Holly See, Ambassador Avramovic and Mons. Gangemi made a contact and had a very fruitful and promising conversation. They were looking forward to a successful cooperation as soon as Mons. Gangemi takes his new post in Belgrade.
