On September 17, 2024, the Belgrade Archdiocese celebrated its 100th anniversary at the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Belgrade. The Holy mass on this occasion was led by H. E. Cardinal Pietro Parolin, State Secretary of the Holy See, together with the host of this Eucharistic celebration, Belgrade Archbishop Mons. Dr. Ladislav Nemet, Apostolic Nuncio in the Republic of Serbia Archbishop Mons. Santo Gangemi and numerous bishops from Serbia and the region.
The solemn mass was attended by the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić as the patron of the celebration, His Holiness Patriarch of Serbia Porfirije with his entourage, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Miloš Vučević, Minister of Justice Maja Popović, Minister of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs Nemanja Starović, Director of the Administration for cooperation with churches and religious communities Vladimir Roganović, representatives of other churches and religious communities, numerous ambassadors and other dignitaries.
